Tata Motors to launch two car models every year till 2020

The 50-share Nifty index is expected to open flat on Thursday following muted trend seen in other Asian markets. Tracking the momentum, the index is expected to retest its crucial psychological support level of 7850-7870 in trade today. 1) Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have poured a record amount of money into the Indian debt market with year-to-date inflows of $13.7 billion, higher than inflows of around $12.04 billion into the equity market. There is a lot of demand for Indian bonds from foreign investors because yields are quite attractive for carry trade and the rupee has also been stable.

2) Indian 10 year yields have remained elevated at around 8.8%, more attractive than the yields on the 10-year US treasury bonds at around 2.5%, even after factoring in a possible depreciation of the rupee.

Indian services companies maintained their positive outlook

Key benchmark indices edged higher in choppy trade after a survey showed that private sector output across India rose for the first time in eight months during February and that Indian services companies maintained their positive outlook for output growth over the coming year in February 2014. The services sector accounts for about 60% of India's gross domestic product. The market breadth, indicating the overall health of the market, was positive. Receding geopolitical worries over Ukraine aided the upmove on the domestic bourses. The BSE Sensex closed at 21276.86 and 67.13 point up.

Market Outlook - The Indian rupee rose on Thursday!

The Indian rupee rose on Thursday, snapping two days of falls, tracking gains in riskier emerging market assets after the U.S. Congress struck a deal to avert a debt default, although falling domestic shares capped further gains. The deal failed to buoy the dollar, which fell against a basket of currencies as investors worried about the economic impact from the more than two-week U.S. government shutdown.

Market Outlook-The Indian rupee fell on Friday!

The Indian rupee fell on Friday, snapping two sessions of gains, as foreign banks bought dollars for their custodial clients, with the June-quarter current account deficit numbers due on Monday expected to provide direction to the currency. India's current account deficit, which hit a record high in the last fiscal year, is expected to be around $23 billion-$25 billion or 4.8-5.4 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) in April-June, from $18.1 billion, or 3.6 percent, in the March quarter, a Reuters poll showed.

Equity Weekly Outlook: - FII investment pattern to dictate trend!

The market may remain volatile as traders roll over positions in the futures & options (F&O) segment from the near month September 2013 series to October 2013 series ahead of the expiry of the September 2013 F&O contracts on Thursday, 26 September 2013.
