Weakness in Asian and European stocks hurt investor sentiment adversely!

Key benchmark indices edged lower in choppy trade, with selling intensifying towards the latter part of the trading session. Weakness in Asian and European stocks hurt investor sentiment adversely. The market breadth, indicating the overall health of the market, was negative. The barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, was down 180.06 points or 0.87%, up close to 10 points from the day's low and off about 235 points from the day's high. Commodity Market Outlook- Gold fell below $1,200!

Gold fell below $1,200 on Friday to its lowest since August 2010 before recovering, and is on track to post its worst quarter since at least 1968 on persistent worries over the U.S. Federal Reserve's plan to wind down its monetary stimulus. Bullion has taken a beating since the beginning of last week - losing as much as 15 percent, or about $200 an ounce - after Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke laid out a strategy to roll back the bank's $85 billion monthly bond purchases in the face of are covering economy.
